We took on the task of creating the town of Junagadh's water supply and sewage system in this studio. Our approach was to determine the voids in the delivery of services that the city currently has and will have in the future. After that, we looked at the design concepts of the various system components, learnt how to create these parts, and used our knowledge to create the overall system design. Two design approaches were used for systematic learning: first developing the system using simple Excel sheets, and then using software to create a more complex system. By the end of the studio, we had modelled the water supply and sewerage network, assessed the demand, and conducted a service delivery gap analysis.
