The studio mainly focuses on steel cantilever structures with knowledge of architectural design as well as structural manual calculations and Analysis. The fundamentals of structural design- structural system, load transfer mechanism, load estimate, analysis, and optimization are completed through an iterative process of structure-refining in stages, fusing architectural goals with structural solutions. A case study of Vastrapur Railway Station was conducted to understand the process and then the process was implemented for our own design. A detailed report of the whole procedure and a 1:1 scale model of the cantilever structure was done in the studio as a conclusion.
