Any civil structure must have a solid foundation because it greatly affects how safe the structure is in general. The goals of a good foundation design include a foundation that is secure, long-lasting, and affordable. Because a structure's foundation rests on the ground, soil is a key component of foundation design. Site investigation, as well as a variety of in-field and laboratory soil tests, can be used to determine the properties of the soil. We would be exposed to on-site soil exploration work. In order to define various soil properties and forecast its behavior's, necessary soil tests on soil would be carried out in the lab. The necessary calculations would be done by the students, and they would create various foundation designs. We would learn about various methods for soil improvement. The studio would allow for the conceptualization of the behavior's of various soil types and the design of an appropriate type of foundation for a structure.
