HVAC Lab | Spring Semester '24

The HVAC systems contribute substantially to the overall building energy consumption, offering a vital opportunity for significant reductions in energy consumption. In the HVAC Lab, we were exposed to all the technical and practical aspects of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning through theoretical concepts, measurement and experimentation exercises, industry visits, expert sessions and simulation exercises. The studio also emphasizes topics such as refrigeration cycle, indoor air quality, infiltration and air-tightness of the building, fresh air requirements, heat/energy recovery ventilators etc. to ultimately enhance thermal comfort, occupant health and reduce the energy consumption.
