HVAC lab plays a significant role in understanding the basic concepts and how to optimize the type of system used , resulting in reduction in the energy consumption. The HRV installations course project gave practical understanding on improving the air quality by replacing the stale air with outdoor air and how it can reduce the energy consumption. The simulation module helped  in understanding different HVAC systems like packaged DX and VAV water cooled chiller , significance of chiller sizing and sequencing and how it helps in reducing the Energy Performance Index (EPI).
