A cable stayed balance cantilever steel canopy spanning 30 meters is designed for developing a recreational space at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad and the details for the same are presented here. The name “THRILLING LINEARITY” is derived from the feel i.e of thrill that extremely large unsupported spans create in the mind of the users. ‘Linearity’ in the design is shown by minimizing the use of curved elements and keeping the orthographic elevation consisting of linear elements only. The cables  supporting this huge span add to its linearity.
