This course teaches about climate analysis, shading analysis, Building physics such as conduction, convection and radiation with case studies.It gives an introduction to Thermal comfort surveys and instantaneous measurements of environmental conditions.To apply heat transfer and building physics, a existing solar cooker is tested and measured which helped us to design our own version based on predictive calculations, build a prototype and test it.
The later part of the semester building simulation software's are introduced where we simulate envelope related energy
conservation measures and simulate heating and cooling loads for observing daily, weekly and annual
duration along with energy consumption.
