Passive Comfort Lab | Portfolio

The primary goal of Passive Comfort Lab is to understand the fundamentals of heat transfer and building physics. The course begins with basic concepts and then moves on to hands-on experiments and exercises focused on the course project: the design and construction of a 1 cubic metre volume that can be used as a stand-in for the building envelope. The course also provides us with a thorough foundation in thermal comfort evaluation and building simulations, as well as in-depth knowledge of climate analysis, shading, natural ventilation, and other passive measures. Selected works from the studio have been included in the portfolio
