This specific case-study covers the Project Phase-1B of Jaipur Metro. With the rapid industrialisation & commercial development of Jaipur, teamed with a growing population, the transport infrastructure of the city was found to be overburdened. As a result, the government mulled over establishment of Jaipur metro on the lines of Delhi Metro which had proved to be a great success. Jaipur metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The Jaipur Metro Rail system is India’s sixth metro rail system Phase-1A of the project is already completed that consist of 9 stations from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar having length of 9.63 Km of which 0.95 Km is underground & 9.13 km is elevated. The remaining of the first line, phase 1B consist of 2.349 km Route length. Since this phase 1-B falls in the pink city area of Jaipur, going elevated would have spoil the beauty of pink city area so they have decided to go Underground Phase 1B consist of construction of two Twin Tunnel each of dia. 6.60 mtrs using two Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machine each of length 80.0 mtrs, that will run under-beneath the busy road of Jaipur at the depth ranging from 6.0-13.0 mrts. The method that they have use to construct tunnel is by sacrificial Rings inorder to complete the project on time and also the Production the Tunnel Lining Segment Ring are carried out simultaneously in the casting yard to achieved the needed pace
