The new bridge over the Mandovi River will be totally 900 m in length of which 620 m is of cable stay portion having three interior spans of 150 m and two exterior spans of 85 m each. The main bridge superstructure consists of 21 m wide externally strutted segmented concrete box girder with dual carriageway of 2 m x 8.5 m with 3 m wide median at the center. The box girder will be supported by stay cables which will be anchored in the pylon and stressed from box girder bottom. The total length of the elevated portion will be 4.1 Km (Approx.) which consist of 4 Lane elevated viaduct of length 1.5 Km and 2 Lane elevated viaduct of length 2.6 km
