As part of the Ward Level Infrastructure Design Studio, we have studied the different sectors of infrastructure in Sarkhej ward like water supply,solid waste management, transportation and water supply, identified gaps and problems and come up with solutions. I focused on the Solid waste management sector. Firstly we analysed the solid waste management network with the help of AMC data and household survey. Secondly we identified the gap between waste generated and waste collected . Finally we came up with 3 stage proposal of waste collection , waste segregation and decomposition of waste by providing decentralized solid waste management unit (compost plant) I also studied about various lakes in our ward and did Beautification and Rejuvenation of shiv lake. Costing of both the proposal is also done.
