Located along the Sabarmati riverfront between Ellis and Nehru bridges, this Discourse Centre responds to the overwhelming presence of the adjacent historic fort wall. The wall’s loud, daunting character is used as a provocative invitation, drawing the public into a space of reflection and engagement. The design reflects this concept - materials mirror the wall’s solid, textured nature, while light enters through carefully placed skylights, casting dramatic shadows and emphasizing moments of stillness. The angled walls of the intervention guides movement through dynamic, enclosed spaces, immersing visitors in the exhibition inside. These curated silent galleries and collaborative spaces highlight the fort’s history and prompt reflections on the broader concept of boundaries.
