Bridging the Divide

This intervention reimagines the historic fort wall as a bridge between the riverfront and the old city, focusing on restoring connectivity across time and space. The journey begins at the river edge and ascends toward the old city, symbolically moving from past to future. Along the way, terraced platforms create layered experiences—spaces to pause, reflect, and engage with the surroundings. At the core lies a discourse centre, encouraging dialogue and exchange across generations and communities. The intervention transforms the wall from a dividing edge into an active threshold—linking histories, people, and possibilities through movement, memory, and interaction.
