Reinterpreting Urban Heritage

The project draws inspiration from the organic, dense, and interwoven cluster organization of the old city of Ahmedabad, located on the eastern bank of the Sabarmati River. This historic urban fabric is characterized by close-knit residential clusters (pols), narrow lanes, shared courtyards, and layered social spaces that foster strong community ties and climatic responsiveness.
