Naliasar Lake, located near Sambhar (a Ramsar Site) in Rajasthan, is a critical wetland supporting rich biodiversity, especially migratory birds. However, it faces significant threats from desertification, infrastructure expansion, and habitat fragmentation, which disrupt its hydrological and ecological balance.
"Between Waters " aims to address these challenges by creating a resilient, performative wetland that adapts to shifting environmental conditions. Focused on ecological preservation, the project will introduce native plant species, restore hydrological balance, and support local biodiversity, especially migratory bird populations. By engaging community and promoting low-impact tourism, Between Waters envisions Naliasar Lake as a resilient, living landscape—one that adapts, performs, and thrives amidst a rapidly changing environment.
