Elements of a built environment especially mutate in situations of stress. How would such adaptations affect circulation, the urban space and the elements themselves? But instead of studying gradual, delicate transformations, I chose to explore those through extreme manmade impact. The direct forceful transformation of the built environment is a means of exercising control or resistance. Thus, typical architectural concepts such as circulation are sought to be recontextualised in an environment where every element can be hostile. Violence in their most extreme form in a built environment are observed during urban warfare. What is the spatial materialisation of urban warfare?
