This project explores the transformation of a neighborhood park into a socially inclusive and emotionally supportive environment, specifically catering to newcomers in the city and individuals with social anxiety. Moving beyond recreation, the design focuses on emotional comfort, gradual integration, and spontaneous interaction. Through sensory nooks, interactive thresholds, and low-pressure gathering spaces, the park offers a layered experience that supports solitude, observation, and connection. It becomes a soft social infrastructure where users are gently invited to belong. Blending spatial rhythm, sensory design, and inclusive programming, the park addresses emotional isolation and fosters meaningful community engagement in today’s urban fabric.
