The Incremental Housing Project in Shilaj Village, titled "Brick By Brick", is a community-driven residential development aimed at providing flexible and affordable housing solutions for mid-income families and native villagers who wish to remain close to their roots. Located opposite the scenic Shilaj Lake on a triangular 3000 sqm site within the R3 Affordable Housing Zone, the project comprises 60 residential units designed with an incremental growth model. Each unit begins at 76 sqm and can expand up to 99 sqm over time, offering residents the ability to adapt their homes as their needs evolve. The design emphasizes a strong connection to the local context, incorporating passive design strategies, local materials, and communal open spaces that promote social interaction. The layout responds sensitively to the site's triangular shape, optimizing land use while ensuring adequate light, ventilation, and privacy.
