This project proposes Re-Take on Labs—a modular and adaptable research infrastructure within IIT Bombay, aimed at enhancing facilities for robotics and automotive innovation. It responds to the fragmented layout and outdated lab conditions by converting underused zones into a network of functional, interconnected modules. These labs are designed to support collaborative, cross-disciplinary work and allow for future expansion. Drawing from observed limitations in current campus infrastructure, the proposal focuses on improving spatial efficiency, research productivity, and integration within the academic fabric. It serves as a scalable model that aligns with the institute’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation-driven learning.
