The Tree Within

The project explores the transformation of a decayed site through the use of composite materials. Initially inspired by the deterioration of Styrofoam, metal, and wood observed at the CEPT campus, the focus shifted to creating innovative composites using micro cement and glass fiber. The hexagonal modular design embodies both the fragility and strength of these materials. The site, marked by decay, became a canvas for the creation of polyfunctional elements like seating walls and ceiling integrations. The design concept, inspired by the growth of a tree, symbolized regeneration, with decay serving as the starting point for new, meaningful, and sustainable spatial experiences.
