Woolcrete Meadow

Woolcrete Meadow is a modular interior environment designed for a children's library and daycare in Kargil, India. Using a composite of wool and cement, the project explores polyfunctional elements that integrate into walls and ceilings, transforming into desks, seating, bookshelves, and play features. The design ensures thermal insulation, acoustic responsiveness, and material durability. Guided by seasonal transitions and contextual sensitivity, the layout revolves around a central circulation core, balancing spatial efficiency with user comfort. The project reimagines interior adaptability through material innovation, offering a child-friendly, future-ready space shaped by evolving needs and tactile engagement.
