Le Corbusier in Transition: From Monument to Movement

The project envisions the adaptive reuse of the ATMA building into a dynamic, student-centric hub that responds to Ahmedabad’s evolving urban and educational landscape. Situated on Ashram Road—once a thriving urban corridor now overshadowed by development along S.G. Highway—the proposal aims to reintroduce vitality through facilities such as a public library, exhibition spaces, seminar halls, co-working zones, and an archive lab in collaboration with CEPT University. By integrating these programs, the building will serve the growing student population in the area, fostering research, learning, and cultural exchange. This transformation not only revitalizes the ATMA building but also contributes to the larger goal of reactivating Ashram Road as an essential part of the city's intellectual and social fabric.
