THE LIVING CONTINUUM

The project reimagines a lakefront burdened by fluctuating human activity and underutilised natural potential. The design enhances footfall through strategic interventions in access and movement, guiding visitors toward curated spaces that foster seamless interaction while preserving ecological balance. By extending and transforming existing yet neglected parks into adjacent vacant lands, the proposal creates active public nodes that strengthen community-nature ties. The selected site, with its layered conditions ranging from vibrant to neglected, presents an opportunity to reimagine spatial and ecological relationships along the lake’s edge. These varied contexts allow for context-sensitive interventions that reconnect fragmented spaces, activate underused zones, and weave them into a unified and engaging lakefront experience.
