The Convento : A Sanctuary for Celebration

The Convento : A Sanctuary for Celebration is an event hotel which  is designed to host large groups by offering a variety of lounge and event spaces that cater to both social interaction and individual retreat. To counter the site's inherent linearity, corridors have been reimagined as active, inhabitable spaces—blurring boundaries between circulation and experience. Strategic level shifts and spatial modulation break down rigidity, creating a fluid and engaging atmosphere. Event spaces are carefully segregated from accommodation zones to keep the hustle and activity of functions away from guest rooms, ensuring privacy and comfort. Additionally, a new built extension has been juxtaposed onto the existing site to increase capacity. This extension can function independently, allowing a single large group to occupy it fully—offering them a sense of exclusivity and their own contained experience within the hotel.
