Located in the historic precincts of Old Goa, this adaptive reuse project reimagines the Convent of Santa Monica as a luxury event hotel. The intervention respects the architectural integrity of the existing built form while extending the site’s strong grid. This allows for integrating event spaces of all scales, juxtaposed within the rhythm of the original structure. By overlaying secondary grids and strategically skewing alignments from existing grid points, the design creates insertions that house new functions - event halls, banquet spaces, and hospitality zones - without disrupting the historical fabric.
