HexHive - A modular maze design for kids

HexHive is a modular maze for kids focusing on cognitive and sensorial development. It's a site-based adaptive growth system customizable for various terrains and learning goals. Unlike traditional planar mazes, HexHive provides an immersive experience for the children through a multi-sensorial 3d-dimensional aggregation. Unlike the classic square grid maze, HexHive is based on a hex grid system. A 6-axis robotic arm for 3d printing was employed as a fabrication technique, resulting in highly customised and topologically optimised modules. The maze assembly is designed with a universal plug joint of modules for ease in logistics.
