Space for Every Step

This project reimagines footpaths as active footspaces in Vasna and Vastrapur Lake, aligning with Jan Gehl’s considerations. In Vasna, where footpaths are lacking, the proposal integrates walking, vending, and social activities into  continuous, accessible footspace, improving safety and enhancing the area’s vibrancy. At Vastrapur Lake, the focus is on creating an interactive, lake-engaging footspace to address issues like inconsistent footpaths and lack of public interaction with the lake. Both proposals emphasize inclusivity, accessibility, and comfort, aiming to transform these spaces into dynamic, inclusive zones that foster community engagement and urban identity.
