Urban Duality: Waterscape & Streetscape

This portfolio explores design interventions at two urban sites in Ahmedabad: Vastrapur and Vasna.

At Vastrapur, the aim is to reconnect the lake with its surroundings by introducing permeable edges, diverse access points, and overlapping functions to activate its public realm.

At Vasna, the focus is on revitalizing inactive commercial edges and fragmented infrastructure through peripheral activation, functional overlaps, and anchor-point loops to enhance walkability.

Guided by 13 urban considerations, both proposals seek to create inclusive, vibrant, and integrated public spaces that respond to contextual challenges and contribute meaningfully to Ahmedabad’s evolving urban fabric.
