This DRP was undertaken to explore practical approaches in the preparation of Development Plans for small and medium-sized towns under AMRUT 2.0. It aims to provide a structured, implementable, and scalable planning framework specifically tailored for Class-II towns of Gujarat. Through a combination of field observations, stakeholder consultations, and the review of existing policies and planning tools, the DRP focuses on integrating land use, infrastructure, mobility, and sustainability into a simplified guideline. The objective is to empower Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) with context-specific strategies to ensure planned and resilient urban growth.
