Happy Street in Ahmedabad is a significant site with high pedestrian traffic, particularly in the evening, due to food stalls and proximity to the Law Garden area and traditional Gujarati merchandise market. Currently, the street is a daytime parking area, causing conflicting usage and limiting its potential as a cohesive public space. This project aims to transform Happy Street into a dynamic, time-responsive public space, accommodating a range of activities that transition seamlessly from day to night. Key design considerations include flexible infrastructure, adaptable spaces, enhanced pedestrian experience, and support for local commerce, to create a thriving destination for all.
