This studio focused on developing a Strategic Urban Transport Plan for Surat, integrating land use, transport networks, and future growth patterns. Through surveys, data analysis, and transport modeling, students identified key challenges and formulated long-term mobility strategies. Within this framework, the project proposes a future-ready road network for Surat—strengthening the existing ring-radial structure, filling critical gaps, and supporting projected population and employment distribution. The proposal aims to create a well-connected, efficient, and inclusive network aligned with the city’s 2047 vision of sustainable and equitable urban mobility.
