This project reimagines Motera Road as a dynamic sports-cultural corridor, integrating Olympic-scale infrastructure with Ahmedabad’s urban fabric. Initiated to address chaotic traffic, informal vending, and underutilized spaces near the Narendra Modi Stadium, the design transforms the street into a unifying civic anchor that balances elite sports, community needs, and cultural identity. The process began with site analysis, mapping key issues like pedestrian spillovers, school footfall, and vendor clusters. Conceptual diagrams positioned the street as a hinge between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, leveraging transit networks and landmarks. AI-generated visuals and case studies (e.g., One Green Mile, Chandni Chowk) informed modular hubs, shaded kiosks, and tactile pathways. The final design features thematic sports zones, adaptive vendor bays, and pedestrian-prioritized spaces—blending performance infrastructure with Motera’s organic street life. Constructed with precision-detailed materials, the project embodies Jane Jacobs’ ethos: a street "created by everybody," where Olympic excellence and local vibrancy coexist.
