This studio explored the role of streets and blocks as fundamental components of urban structure and social life. Beginning with a study of an active street in Kolkata, it progressed to redesigning a busy market and mobility corridor in Ahmedabad and concluded with a block-scale intervention in Thakkarbapa Nagar in Ahmedabad. The focus was on how spatial organization, circulation, and public interfaces impact inclusivity, ecological balance, and everyday use. Through continuous mapping, analysis, and design development, the studio looked into strategies to enhance pedestrian experience, integrate informal practices, and craft urban environments that evolve with community needs and contextual pressures.
