BHOPAL 2047 - Integrated Decentralization

The Development Plan for Bhopal 2047 envisions a city that embraces its inherent diversity spatial, ecological, and cultural. Through detailed analysis of its blue-green networks, lakes, and urban fabric, our concept of Integrated Decentralization was formulated. The city was divided into character-based zones to reflect local identities and needs, while ensuring cohesion through a well-connected framework of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), public transport, and road networks. Emphasising mixed-use zoning, the plan promotes compact, inclusive, and accessible urban centres. This approach balances decentralized growth with city-wide integration, guiding Bhopal towards a sustainable and resilient urban future.
