This project is part of the Development Plan Studio, where we reimagine the future of Bhopal—a city known for its lakes, history, and natural beauty. We aimed to create a vision for Bhopal in 2047 that is inclusive, connected, and environmentally conscious. Working as a team, we began by understanding the city's existing conditions and past planning efforts. I contributed to the economic profile and spatial analysis, using GIS to map patterns and potentials. We proposed a decentralized growth model—strengthening local zones, promoting mixed-use development, and improving transport networks. Through zoning, development controls, and infrastructure strategies, we tried to strike a balance between growth and conservation, ensuring Bhopal remains livable, resilient, and vibrant for the years to come.
