Designing for Uncertainty, Planning for PotentialBhopal’s identity—rooted in lakes, heritage, and scattered urban form—presents both challenges and opportunities. Through this Development Plan 2047, we explored how a city like Bhopal can grow sustainably by balancing ecological protection with flexible, inclusive development. Guided by the idea of Connect, Conserve, Create, my approach focused on practical phasing based on implementation ease and local needs, rather than idealised potential. The plan envisions a resilient future through context-sensitive zoning, blue-green networks, and transit-integrated growth—designed to adapt to uncertainty while preserving what makes Bhopal unique.
