Living in heritage

This project envisions the revitalization of pols (residential neighborhoods) in Ahmedabad by transforming the experience of living in Kalupur, while preserving its identity. Responding to future development pressure from the upcoming multimodal station, it proposes adaptive reuse of the graded buildings while using plot-based strategy to create open spaces, amalgamate plots and transform the built environment. Promotes walkability by redesigning the streets and enhance the experience by designing pocket open spaces. The aim is to enhance livability by improving quality of life by revitalizing the built-form, establishing a synergy between the commercial and residential areas and enhancing the social spaces.
