Weaving the University Land with the City

This project envisions transforming the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) campus into a vibrant civic-academic landscape that integrates seamlessly with its urban context. Situated in Ahmedabad’s University Area, the 120-acre site is reimagined through the concept of weaving, introducing two major spines: a Student Spine that activates the edges and connects institutional and cultural anchors, and a Green Spine that links public transport, encourages walkability, and enhances ecological resilience. Together, these spines foster porosity, inclusivity, and spatial synergy. The proposal aims to create a connected, accessible, and dynamic campus that supports learning, community engagement, and a strong sense of place.
