Venture Ville | From Gamtals to Innovation Districts

This project envisions Ghuma village as a prototype for transforming urban villages into vibrant startup hubs. By leveraging low-cost spaces, strategic connectivity, and local networks, it proposes a spatial and policy framework that supports entrepreneurship through adaptive reuse, plot amalgamation, and hybrid live-work corridors. Key interventions include startup spines, co-working retrofits, innovation plazas, and flexible leasing models. The approach bridges the gap between informal village fabric and formal urban systems, enabling a low-barrier, high-opportunity ecosystem. With scalable incentives and institutional support, the model offers a replicable strategy for embedding economic vitality into other urban villages across Ahmedabad.
