Introduction  This studio served as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world construction practices, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with an active construction site. By closely observing the progress of a high-rise residential development, we gained valuable hands-on experience in monitoring construction processes, evaluating on-site quality and safety standards, and understanding stakeholder coordination.  Project Overview The project under observation is a multi-storey residential building featuring amenities such as podium parking, elevators, and shared community spaces. Our involvement spanned the complete construction lifecycle—from substructure and superstructure stages to the finishing works—allowing us to track and understand the full scope of building execution.  Key Learning Areas 1. Monitoring site activities against project schedules and drawings.2. Analyzing construction sequencing, labor distribution, and equipment use.  3. Evaluating quality control and assurance measures on-site.4. Observing safety protocols and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance. 5. Documenting material management, including storage and inspection procedures. 6. Identifying site-level challenges and proposing effective, actionable solutions.Portfolio Deliverables 1. Weekly site reports with visual documentation. 2. Construction activity logs and progress charts.3.  Annotated observations on construction quality, methods, and safety practices.4. Planned vs. actual progress assessments. 5. A comprehensive Final Construction Monitoring Report summarizing key insights, deviations, resolutions, and professional recommendations. Learning Outcome Through this immersive experience, we developed the ability to evaluate and document on-site construction processes, apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, and understand the complexities of construction management. This studio has equipped us with essential skills for future roles in project execution and construction supervision.
