This initiative centers on the engineering and planning of a RCC box girder bridge situated in Chennai. The bridge is designed with a horizontal curvature in plan and is supported by circular pier and pile foundation. The design process began with the creation of the General Arrangement Drawing (GAD), incorporating preliminary assumptions for member sizes. The superstructure was analyzed and designed using the grillage analogy method in STAAD.Pro software. Throughout the analysis and design phases, adherence to the relevant provisions of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) codes was maintained.
