Impact of Sky View Factor on Urban Heat Dissipation
This Directed Research Project (DRP) aims to investigate the relationship between the Sky View Factor (SVF) and urban heat dissipation in Ahmedabad. The SVF will be calculated using images captured with a fisheye camera lens, followed by image processing techniques. Data collection will be conducted at 100 locations across the city, where key parameters such as air temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), surface temperature, and Mean Radiant Temperature (MRT) (°C), will be measured. The study seeks to establish a correlation between the SVF and heat dissipation, providing insights into thermal behavior at an urban scale.
