Development and Application of Last Planner System for Project Cost Analysis
The last planner system has been widely used in Indian construction projects. COLPLASSE is a template for implementation of last planner system in construction system and it is used in some of the construction sites in India. Although, the last planner system has potential to improve flow in the construction processes, remove the constraints and make ready process, there is a missing link between collaborative planning process driven by last planner system, and cost analysis of project. Owing to this missing link, it becomes difficult to foresee project costing across the project timeline and how last planner system can improve planning and controlling of the project costs. In this context, this study aims to develop further the existing COLPLASSE template for budget vs cost analysis of project, wherein last planner system is being adopted.
