Developing a Performance Monitoring framework for Water Infrastructure Projects in India
"Water infrastructure projects in India, particularly those implemented under the Public-Private Partnership model,
face persistent challenges in resource optimization, progress tracking, and cost management. These challenges,
further amplified by the increasing scale and complexity of such initiatives, highlight the need for a structured and
systematic framework to enhance project delivery processes comprehensively. This research seeks to develop a robust
performance monitoring framework specifically tailored to water infrastructure projects. The framework will
integrate and apply key performance indicators (KPIs) to address inefficiencies, enhance decision-making, and
improve cost efficiency and schedule adherence. Its practical applicability will be rigorously evaluated through a
four-week testing phase on the selected project cases and site visits undertaken during the research period. The
findings are expected to yield significant insights into optimizing project performance and fostering effective
stakeholder coordination, for advancing sustainable management practices in India’s water infrastructure sector."
