GEMBA walk is a popular lean tool aimed to identify the wastes in a construction process, analyze the flow and suggest the areas of improvement. The GEMBA walks are conducted at the place of work (actual construction site), where the value is created for the client, and a person tasked with GEMBA walk is expected to fulfill the aims mentioned earlier. In real life scenario, a person conducting the GEMBA walk passes through a learning curve in fulfillment of these aims. Virtual Reality has the potential to hasten this learning by providing variety of situations, in terms of waste and flow, which we may not be present in a single construction site. In this context, the aim of this research study is to develop VR based GEMBA walk that can be used to train students and construction industry professionals for the conduct of GEBMA walk.
