Technology and innovation in Redevlopment

"The integration of advanced technologies and innovative approaches is transforming the landscape of
real estate redevelopment. Redevelopment projects, often undertaken to rejuvenate urban
infrastructure, face challenges such as spatial constraints, cost efficiency, and sustainability. This
necessitates leveraging tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM), which enhances planning
and execution by providing a collaborative and data-driven framework. BIM allows for precise
visualization, resource optimization, and streamlined project management, minimizing errors and
delays.
Additionally, Smart City technologies are revolutionizing redevelopment by embedding intelligent
systems, improving urban connectivity, and fostering sustainable development. These technologies
enhance energy efficiency, infrastructure resilience, and quality of life, making redevelopment more
future-ready.
The use of prefabrication and modular construction offers further advantages, including faster
project completion, reduced on-site labour, and minimized waste. These innovative methods align
with the growing demand for environmentally conscious and economically viable redevelopment
practices.
This study aims to explore the synergistic role of BIM, Smart City technologies, and modular
construction in advancing the efficiency and effectiveness of redevelopment projects, addressing
contemporary urban challenges while paving the way for sustainable urban transformation."
