Optimizing Construction Scheduling and Planning for Mixed-Use Buildings in Metro Cities: Leveraging Technology and Strategic Best Practices

Construction projects in metro cities face unique challenges such as limited space, traffic congestion, regulatory complexities, and environmental concerns, making effective scheduling and planning critical for project success. Traditional construction methods often fall short in addressing these urban-specific issues. However, technological innovations like Building Information Modeling (BIM), advanced project management software, AI, and IoT offer solutions by enabling real-time visualization, better resource allocation, and improved coordination. Adopting Lean Construction principles and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) strategies can enhance efficiency. This paper explores how these urban development projects' overall success and sustainability technologies and best practices can overcome construction challenges in metropolitan areas, improving urban development projects' overall success and sustainability.
