Development of a New Generation of Modular Prefabricated Accommodation Solutions

This program addresses the shortfalls in the current generation of prefabricated structures and from these issues, develop a new solution that is unique, modular, and versatile. Rapid deployment of accommodation solutions is crucial for the humanitarian response in the case of calamities, for which prefabricated structures are one such proposition. Prefabrication provides significant advantages in construction. The “porta cabin” concept has been prevalent in the industry for a long time and is widely used. Prefabricated structures have been used for temporary camps in humanitarian relief operations and by the United Nations in its peacekeeping missions globally.
