HVAC Lab | Spring Semester 2025

The HVAC Lab Studio introduced the fundamentals of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems through a blend of theory, experimentation, and simulation. Beginning with thermodynamics, psychrometry, and the vapor compression cycle, the course explored various HVAC system types, components, and real-world applications. It emphasized indoor air quality, contaminant sources, and filtration techniques integrated within HVAC systems. Hands-on experiments included measurement of airflow, pressure, temperature, and energy performance. The studio concluded with building-level simulations to assess thermal comfort and HVAC efficiency. The course fostered a strong foundation in system behavior, performance analysis, and climate-responsive HVAC design strategies.
