Foundation Studio (II), within the CEPT Foundation Programme continues to build upon the skills acquired during the first semester, adding abilities to use digital media in representation; to make models; to understand the assembly of built form through its building elements, materials and structures; to be able to draft architectural and topographical drawings: and eventually leads to bringing the skills and abilities together to tackle a design problem.

A report on the field visit to Bhuj, that aimed at gaining a hands-on experience with handling some basic building elements and materials.

A model built with the understanding of various joinery that can exist across materials.

A report on testing the structural strength and reasons for failure of a model made using reed sticks and thread.

Tackling a Design Problem (TADP) requires to design a workshop for a leather craftsman at Jaisalmer. The process followed to reach the final design has been showcased here.
